The Diplomad (a blog I've been meaning to check out) echoes thoughts I've had many times. A must-read: they could have made no finer first impression. I rarely email things to the Spousal Unit at work, but this one is going off right away.

Chow gets worse the closer you get to the fighting. The first thing to go is ice cream, then salads, then vegetables. Then you go to A-rats. Then MRE's. In Homer's "Iliad" the best fighters get the choicest cuts of meat. In the military it's the reverse, the conditions are hardest for those who have the hardest fighting.
Deb and her ladies have worked like demons to make things better for our guys over there. Her Operation Santa was a logistical production that would put the Marine Corps to shame. She's one amazing woman. Full marks, Deb. No one does it better.

Hopefully day after tomorrow. Work has been awfully busy - I have 3 major projects I'm working on and I'm under the gun. Starting a new blog wasn't helpful :)
