Hearts Of Fire

I don't ever, EVER want to hear another word about the Iraqi forces not pulling their weight.

These people deserve to be free. End of story.

That one coulda stood to have a "Hankey Advisory".

You may have had this, Cass, that I missed, but Your linked story reminds of the one at Blackfive---the story from the WAPO about the Iraqi soldiers, who after Navy seal air tanks ran empty, and American retrieval efforts were virtually exhausted, the Iraqis dived into the waters and using some $40 makeshift tool of theirs to retrieve the bodies of American Soldiers from the canal where their Humvee overturned into. They did not stop until EVERY soldiers body was retrieved.
Excerpt: ""When I saw those Iraqis in the water, fighting to save their American brothers, I saw a glimpse of the future of this country," said Col. Mark McKnight, commander of the 1st Brigade, 3rd Infantry Division, which had overall responsibility for the unit in the accident, his eyes tearing."

Meanwhile, reading these stories and in the back of my mind hearing the effete Boston Bramin DYKWIA calling the war effort in Iraq "a colossal failure" , I'm overcome with a COLOSSAL desire to stuff a few pair of sweaty soldier socks in his mouth!!
