I think the second is better...
Ain't no mountain high enough...
Ain't no valley low enough..
Ain't no river wide enough
to keep me from getting to you, babe.
Semper Fi...

Well unless there is a Coast Guard team (remember the fifth armed service?) I'll give a bit to each team..... though I'm tempted to ignore the air farce.. force... from habit. :)

The Coasties are their own animal. I didn't even know they were under the auspices of the DOT until about ten years ago.

Larry: Yeah, I notice the Coasties were missing too. I really admire them. BTW, I get a kick out of all the snarky interservice rivalry comments. It's fun. But, your comment about the AF seemed a little incongruous with no context. What do have against the AF? I'm sure all the ground-pounders receiving our "Close Air Support" wouldn't be as careless with their criticism of us. :) --Ziobuck (USAF, retired)

Actually I have nothing against the Air Force at all, ziobuck. It just happens that their name is the only one that's easy to make fun of, so that was the target-rich environment. I've actually lobbed far more snark at the Army and Navy, I think. If the Coast Guard had a team I would have brought up the fact that my small son used to call them the Post Cards :D

Hey I like the Air Force. They provide me with a Thunderbirds show every Spring here in Co Springs!..AND AF Football. Fisher DeBerry is just too cool for Sunday school! Well...you know.
I'm not gonna like when this chunk of (commercial) property across from my church/World Prayer Center is filled up fall of 2007 with Cinemark, restaurants, etc...cuz it will go completely "dim-like" and OBSTRUCT---the now perfect straight shot view of the stadium, etc. Whaaaaa
But I digress. I need to go take another look at that Marine Calendar anyway.

Um, ziobuck, let's not forget that the Marine Corps has our very own Air Wing. Any guesses as to who the average Marine grunt would have over his head, an Air Force F-16 or a Marine F/A-18? Hint: it has two tails, and the pilots go through some of the same training as their brothers on the ground.
If you need any help figuring it out, let me know. I'm not only a grunt, but I'm one of those JTAC guys that actually directs close air support, so I have some experience working with AF pilots vs Marine pilots.

Now boys... be nice to each other or I'll have to call in the Playboy bunnies to sort you all out :p
