Hi Cass ... this seemed as good as any place to vent a bit ... please excuse the emotion. Mrs. Frodo had her mastectomy on Friday, she came home from the hospital today.
She is something, at the hospital the nurses started to show me how to clean the tubes she will have in her for a few days and she was worried that "I" would be upset to see her surgical scars ... I reminded her of where I was two years ago and alluded to what I saw there ... at the time I really meant what I said, but now I know I was full of S***. I saw some terrible things in Iraq but they weren't my wife. Hopefully she didn't catch how shocked I was when I saw the wound ... I pray God that he helps me be strong to support her through all this.

I see that Andi has announced a bit of a shower for Friday night at the Milblog conference. I posted over there as to how someone who can't attend the conference might be able to contribute. I have a part-time job at Carter's, and there is so much cute stuff for little girls. However, there are no little girls I can by for - no kids, no nieces or nephews, and all my cousins who have kids I'd buy for have boys...

Yes :) I just now answered it. I'm sorry - I wanted to wait until I had a quiet moment to think. Today was just so hectic and I had a bad headache most of the day. Check your email! But it is full of typos b/c of my migraine - sorry!
