Coffee Snorters: Dark Humor Edition

Could this be a sign that decadent Western values are infiltrating the Jihadi world view?

I'm told that translation isn't quite right. More literally, it's, "This device is used against occupation forces only." But still: IEDs with warning labels!??!?

When Achmed the terrorist starts to worry about product liability issues, I'd say the tide has turned.

I see this as a naked attempt by the jihadis to cover their asses, but not from plaintiffs' lawyers - from prosecution as war criminals for their indiscriminate murder of civilians. "We didn't kill those 25 school kids with these bombs. See, it says right on the label 'For Use Against Zionist Oppressors Only!'"

If that's the case Mr. rdr, I'll take that as an excellent sign that we're winning. The Nazis kept excellent records of their "Final Solution" because they expected to win. It was only when it looked like they were losing did they try and destroy evidence of their evil. If Mr. Jihadi is 'covering his bases' by putting warning stickers on his IEDs in order to avoid prosecution, then that's tantamount to admitting that they're expecting to lose and be tried for war crimes.

Sadly, while I wish it were, I don't believe that to be the case here. I'd personally chalk it up to the same reason we put "This side towards enemy" on our claymore mines. When dealing with explosives, it never hurts to make sure you're using it right. Plus, the sticker would distinquish between training rounds and the live ones. Or this could just be a funny photoshop.

Nah...the warning on the claymores was so whoever didn't get the message in basic could set the mine with a relative degree of safety.

And aren't IEDs not necessarily that pretty? sort of defeats the purpose of improvisation to have a warning label.

In today's Iraq, even Islam must feel it has to somehow cater to the onslaught of Western culture that is invading that country... just my opinion..
