And She Had a Dachshund, Too

I told The Donovan he would have liked the post I was going to do originally better. That's for two reasons. One you'll never know.

The other is here (mildly NSFW). And she had a dachshund, too.

Enjoy.

Nah.

But the Christobel Leighton-Porter story was a good one. Especially when I found out she had a dachshund. The other would have gotten me into too much trouble.

Like everything else, dogs make this better. They are the four-legged wonder. My favorite bit of this tale (tail?) is when she reminisces about how years later the 'boys' still treated her like a princess. It has less to do with the nudity, I must believe, and more to do with the fact that she so clearly cared for them and that she supported them. Soldiers can be an awfully grateful lot. But her being a knockout surely did not hurt either.

A spectacular example of this can be found in the tale of Ann-Margret reciprocating that loyalty to one of her "gentlemen".

Amen. I don't know a single Viet Vet who didn't loathe Jane Fonda *and* who didn't worship the water Martha Raye walked on...
