Sheesh...

Got me all sentimental talking about shooting the E6 off the cat. Now IIRC, F4's were louder, at least they are in my memory. Then seeing the photo of the little guy and the sarge...

I enlisted in '72 and after a while (did a stint on a tender) I wound up as a green shirt - C&E shop on CV(A)-66.

Turned down a shot at OCS which disappointed my CPO and Engineering O. I blamed Carter, and still do! No really, I do. Although, on reflection, I -may- have had a bit to do with making that bone-headed decision. But the prospect for a career in the mil in those days was not real good. =8^}

I do manage to stay in touch with the man who was my CPO during the best days, those on the good old 66.
