Creepy Christmas Gift Thread
So far, this takes the cake (you have to watch the promo to get the full effect).
Although this may be a close second. But feel free to make suggestions in the comments section.

What's that about a fool and his money ? Are we to believe that you have a phobia about spiders ?

At least it's handsome Elvis and not fat, drug soaked Elvis with optional black belt. That would be more creepy.

Oh man, that tiny Elvis thing is going to sell like hotcakes. Beleive it.

I just wish they gave a discount for buying 10 Elvises - my Christmas shopping problems would be solved!

I believe that Elvis, being a noun of the 3rd Declension, takes the plural nominative form of Elves. :P

Recessions have a way of correcting kitsch. Consumers may have to downsize to the singing trout.
Posted by: george at November 19, 2008 08:06 PM
Huh, I always thought the plural was Elvii.
Posted by: Pile On at November 19, 2008 09:37 PM
Elvim?
Posted by: MathMom at November 19, 2008 10:44 PM
Too weird.

Um . . . I gave the radio-controlled tarantula to a 6-year-old daughter of friends last year. She seemed to like it.

I will tell you a secret.
I actually liked both the Elvis and the tarantula. However the one Bill linked to is kind of scary.

Elvis lives again, muahahaha.

Coming from Bill, it isn't very surprising.

Camel spiders?
Posted by: Ymarsakar at November 20, 2008 04:08 PM
Nah - his roommate cleared the Camel Spiders out a long time ago. The scorpions might be hanging around though.
Posted by: HomefrontSix at November 21, 2008 03:07 AM
Camel Scorpions.
Posted by: BillT at November 21, 2008 04:18 AM
I dunno, I think that tarantula would go over REAL WELL with 9yos. Especially if they had a little sister. Or even a big sister.
Posted by: OBloodyhell at November 21, 2008 09:00 AM
I know a Marine wife or two who would find a whole 'nuther *gear* upon finding that tarantula crawling around on their floor.
Not that I would do such a thing, of course......
heh
