Press Briefings

White House.gov finally has press briefing transcripts linked from the briefing room.

You have to scroll down to the bottom of the page (lower left corner) to find the link, but they're there.

Did anybody notice this:

"The President today signed an executive order creating a Middle Class Task Force and asked his right hand man, Vice President Joe Biden, to lead it."

I'm underwhelmed.

Oh, goody. Yet another gummint "Task Force" requiring 6,000 additional gummint employees to administer it.

Sure that didn't say he asked Biden if he could *read* it?

Say it ain't so...

Disclaimer: I've not found a primary source link yet.

But I've read the following, BREAKING 7:41PM ET: Fox News Television reports that Barack Obama has issued a demand that the Pentagon reduce its budget by more than 10%, at various sites about the intertubes. Ace amongst em. The percentage is also said to be 11% at some sites along with a dollar figure of $55 billion.

Well, I guess that Carter... ahhh, BO, Nancy and Harry must find money somewhere in order to target the truly needy, as represented by funding items contained in H.R.1.

I've said all along that if BO and the Dem's control the WH and the Congress, that the next four years will be a Jimmy Carter redux. But twice in one lifetime just ain't right.
