I Hate Thursdays

Memories...

I Think TARP disbursements are really a huge problem
I Think bailouts are too much on my mind
I Think rich people have got a lot to do with why the world sucks
But what can you do?

Like a black rain, beating down on me
Like a Chomsky line, which won't let go of my brain
Like Alan Greenspan's ass, it is in my head
Blame it on Wall Street
Blame it on Wall Street
Blame it on Wall Street

I Think credit default swaps are gonna drive us all crazy
And securitized mortgages make me feel like a child
I Think greedy investment bankers will eventually be the downfall of civilization
But what can you do? I said what can you do?

Like a black rain, beating down on me
Like a Chomsky line, which won't let go of my brain
Like Alan Greenspan's unwaxed chest, it is in my head
Blame it on Wall Street
Blame it on Wall Street
Blame it on Wall Street

Like a black rain, beating down on me
Like Alan Greenspan's smile, cruel and cold
Like Chomsky's ass, it is in my head
Blame it on Wall Street
Blame it on Wall Street
Blame it on Wall Street

I don't hate Thursdays. I was born on one and so was my Husband. I gotta wonder though if the following excerpt was meant as a curse," Thursday's child has far to go".

Monday's child is fair of face.

Tuesday's child is full of grace.

Wednesday's child is full of woe.

Thursday's child has far to go.

Friday's child is loving and giving.

Saturday's child works hard for a living,

But the child who is born on the Sabbath Day

Is bonny and blithe and good and gay.

Maybe it means you'll go far?

Saturday.

Well, hell, cowgirl
I hate Mondays
because there're too early
I hate Tuesdays
because I'm too late
I hate Wednesdays
because it's spelled funny
I hate Thursdays
because there's Fridays
I hate Fridays
because I hate Mondays

We good here?

And now for something completely different, for a Thursday...

Well, since Friday is the Muslim Sunday, and we're *supposed* to get it as our day off, which makes Thursday the start of our weekend, we don't use, "Thank God It's Friday" or the abbreviation TGIF -- we either say, "Say Hey, It's Thursday" or (more commonly) just plain SH*T...

Dang Bill! This $*!+ too will pass.

Since Thursdays -and Fridays through Wednesdays- are love your dog days, here's a heart-warmin' story about a fellow's dedication to his...

dog.

Now I wonder how many villains though it would be about a goat or Girl Scout Cookies or something equally... ahhh, never mind...

And by the way, here's a little reminder for all of us in the states, from that dog's servant.

Salute!

Wow. No wonder our kids have A.D.D.

That's OK, On Thursdays I don't care about you. :-)

I saw this for the first time yesterday evening...

The feelings of disgust it generated in me might just put me off Thursdays for a while. Unless the court throws the book at the dirtbags and adds a couple of dozen months on to their sentences for making terrorist threats to boot.

I think you are pulling my chain.

Where is the Alanis Morrisette song generator now?

I am warm and suntanned in Naples today. I feel sorry for the rest of you pathetic slugs.

That is all.
