I think I'm in love with Patterico:

I thought you folks in Big Media were proud of your record for accuracy. That’s four errors in two posts. I know that you read my post wherein I noted your error in claiming he had a “trial” — because you quoted my post. Why, then, is your error still uncorrected?

You ought not write me and demand that I correct an accurate post. Rather, you should correct your own numerous inaccuracies. And then, I would suggest that you reconsider your stunning suggestions that a 13-year-old girl and her mother are the ones truly at fault for the drugging and anal rape of a child.

For some reason, I'm reminded of a line from the movie, "White Men Can't Jump":

It's got to hurt, being this good.

No, they're proud of not getting caught until the following day.

This whole affair amazes me. That there is any debate regarding Polanski's guilt and need to take his punishment boggles my iddy biddy mind.

How can anyone read the sworn testimony, pp 1-18 & pp 19-31 of a 13 year old girl's violation, not to mention debasement, and not demand that the cur, Polanski, be punished? Severely punished... As in serving a prison sentence. It's just beyond me.

There can be but one excuse to explain the indefensible attempts to defend Polanski. Oxygen deprivation.

I've come to believe that it must be an environmental issue associated with the rarefied air in metropolitan areas such as, N.Y.,N.Y., Chicago, L.A., D.C., etc. Places where major media, political, and entertainment elites circle and twitter without reservation, or much consideration. How else can one reason away the lack of morality and decency in educated adults? Individuals in whom, at least on the face of the proposition, you would expect to have better judgment, if not common sense?

Prolonged oxygen deprivation.

On a positive note, I'm filled with pride when I'm cast in the flown-over, Neanderthal, knuckle-dragging demographic by such reprobate as those who would support Polanski's avoidance of any real punishment, as prescribed by the law. All who are so marked by such people should, IMHO, feel the same pride.

Part of me is glad you posted this, as I can fully vent over this. Part of me is not, since I am so mad I cannot really think straight.

I have never been more disgusted with folks on the other side of this, in my life. And I do mean the other side, since there are QUITE a few liberals I know who are eminently disgusted with defenders of that person (I will NOT call him a man, and I will NOT dignify using a name for him that is longer than 4 letters, unless it's appended with an -er). So this is not a left right issue, as much as a basic decency issue.

I can ignore the infotainers like Alan Colmes (who expressed on his radio show that that person has served enough time as punishment. I can ignore that vile woman Whoopi Goldberg who said that it wasn't "rape" rape. I can ignore each of these morons, but I cannot ignore ALL of them.

What part of "no means no" did we forget? What part of "pedophilia is a crime" did we forget? What part of "child pornography is a crime" did we forget? And what part of forcible penetration is NOT RAPE? And finally, since when does "fleeing the country" equal "time served in prison". By the standards of these people, I can kill a man, or rape a woman (or rape a man and kill a woman), but as long as I flee the country, that's good enough. Justice is served as long as you spend the same amount of time in France. All jokes aside, bite my ***.

As usual what is readily apparent to the sane among us, the "moral compass" of Hollywood is suffering a 180 degree angle of declination from true north. Moral relativism is a psychological disorder with no known cure.

We have a new chapter for perverts in the U.S. and Europe: NAMGLA = North American Man Girl Love Association.

MDSO's all of them!
