McChrystal Resignation?

Wunderbar. Just what we need - more unnamed sources:

[Updated at 4:41 p.m.] Gen. Stanley McChrystal has submitted his resignation, Time magazine's Joe Klein told CNN, citing an unnamed source. CNN is working to confirm Klein's information.

If it's true, good on him. I hate to think where this is going, though.

If I was the good General, I would have left a copy of Rolling Stone in the Oval Office, with my resignation letter inside.

Chances were always that when Obama met with McChrystal or some such, MC was getting fired, he would resign before he got fired, or he would go full prostration before the Obama God-Emperor and apologize, publicly, then retire.

Chances are slim to none on the last option. McChrystal just doesn't seem like that kind of bootlicker. And he's not that dumb to have stepped into this 3 times, especially with his West Point demerits, and not think the shat will be rolling off the mountains on him.
