Our Ass Kicking President...

... and his violent rhetoric:

President Barack Obama bluntly defended his administration's response to the undersea gusher fouling the Gulf of Mexico on Monday, telling an interviewer he has met with experts to learn "whose ass to kick."

"I was down there a month ago, before most of these talking heads were even paying attention to the Gulf," Obama told NBC's "Today" show in an interview scheduled to air Tuesday. "A month ago I was meeting with fishermen down there, standing in the rain talking about what a potential crisis this could be."

..."I don't sit around talking to experts because this is a college seminar," Obama continued. "We talk to these folks because they potentially have the best answers, so I know whose ass to kick."

Last year about this time Obama was the only thing standing between corporate America and violent extremists with pitchforks. Now he's assuring us that he knows how to use a pitchfork.

Lovely. Maybe he'll unleash a volley of words into that damned hole. Ten whacks over the head with an oiled pelican for you, Mr. President!

He just doesn't get it. We don't like his response to the Golf spill NOT because he hasn't kicked any ass, but because his administration is getting in the way of fixing the thing. Has Jindal gotten his sand booms yet? Or are they going to have to do some more environmental impact studies before they approve them?

The fact that he sits around playing golf and having beer with basketball teams five minutes after going on television and declaring "I will not rest until this situation is resolved" is secondary.

There's something very unsettling in his eyes, that I see, when he utters the "kicking" line.

He is a punk. And seriously out of his depth.

Hugh Hewitt has a t-shirt that is apropos of the situation: Oiiohh.

"We talk to these folks because they potentially have the best answers, so I know whose ass to kick."

Two things: 1) a typical Obama response: he's more interested in fixing blame than he is in fixing the problem.

2) In the end, it's just more ObamaTalk--empty rhetoric, with no intention actually of taking serious action.

A metrosexual wussie who knows enough not to walk down dark alleys--or heck even dimly lit doorways--should not try to "butch up" with trash talk.
It is to laugh when those words spill from his lips. It's not even good theater.

Has anyone checked his schedule about a month ago, to find out who the fishermen were he talked to? I don't remember anything in the media about his going to the Gulf in that time frame. Not to suggest that he would be capable of lying about it. I believe Carter talked about kicking the ass of that bunny that attacked him, too, if memory serves.

Posted by: Everyman at June 8, 2010 04:16 PM

Those are the same creepy eyes that he had when he was CALLING HIS MASTER.

Kick ass? Nah, that's just the coke talkin' while images of IWON/Xerxes/Scarface float around in his head.

"A month ago I was meeting with fishermen down there, standing in the rain..."

Yeah...if it happened, "standing in the rain" must've been a real hardship for him.

As MathMom said above: "He is a punk", etc.

2 May: Day 13 of the spill -- Obie visits Louisiana for a photo op on a NOLA wharf.

Previous to that, his time was taken up with golf, parties, political fundraising for Babs Boxer, and dates with Michelle.

And -- no surprise, camo -- it wasn't raining.

Singin' in the rain, chewin' gum, kickin' some ass.

Now there's some hope and change fer ya!

I guess we gotta just laugh this off, or else we'll go.....insane!!

Ah, OK Brain...

...Can I put my foot on someone's neck?

If BHO doesn't know whose "ass" to kick by now he is not a serious ass kicker. Maybe he meant KISS instead of "KICK"?

Obambi couldn't kick his way out of a paper bag.

Whatever power he has, requires obedient thugs. Remove the thugs and Obama will be the first to bow down to pressure.

Posted by: Ymarsakar at June 9, 2010 05:16 PM

Oh wait, he already bowed down. So it is easy. Just keep him in the bowing position and get him on his hands and knees too for a full prostration.

Posted by: Ymarsakar at June 9, 2010 05:16 PM

Hey, can I tell him whose ass to kick about healthcare?

Posted by: Cricket at June 9, 2010 05:55 PM

He hires it done. People who hire it done don't really understand it; they either use too much force or too little, or use it so that it doesn't do any good.

Take this BP situation. Any student of judo knows that they'll win against him. All they have to do is file for bankruptcy protection and reorganize under British law. What's he going to do about it? Seize their gas stations on US territory? Those are owned by American franchise holders. Pressure a judge to rule in his favor? They're British judges, and he is the President who sent the bust of Churchill back because he didn't want it in the White House.

Nope, no surprise. He's a serial liar.

No doubt; none whatsoever.

You can try...for all the good it would do.

I think you've got a pretty good handle on the situation...

Check out the picture of him on Maggie's Farm being walked by his dog. That's showing 'em who's boss!

Boehner's already asking whose ass the President plans to kick about the deficit.
