Monday Verse

GROW old along with me!
The best is yet to be,
The last of life, for which the first was made:
Our times are in His hand
Who saith ‘A whole I planned,
Youth shows but half; trust God: see all, nor be afraid!’

- Robert Browning, Rabbi Ben Ezra

The opening verse is very nice, as is the closing metaphor of a potter's wheel. I'm not sure what to make of the lengthy middle, though. What do you think of it?

I thought it went on way too long :p

Actually a brilliant comment Cass; far too many items (poems, speeches, stories, books, etc) are much longer than necessary.
Interesting that this post comes close upon Lincoln's Gettysburg Address.

Best Regards,
