Checking In

I'm sorry I haven't been writing much of late. I had hoped to get a post up for Memorial Day, but we had family visiting and the Editorial Staff ran into a bit of a brick wall, time- and mental energy-wise.

Thankfully, the Dark One stepped up to the plate.

I'm belatedly realizing that taking only 2 days off from work (one of which was the day I had surgery) was not even close to being enough. Rehab has mostly gone very well, but I'm beginning to suspect that I am not Superwoman after all.

Not even close :p

Right now, my top two priorities (not being The Lightworker, I don't have nearly as many #1 priorities as Obama) are getting my knee back to normal and keeping up with work. Blogging is going to have to move down the priorities list for the next few weeks until I'm walking normally.

I - I - I, me - me - me. Not terribly comfortable with that, but the sooner I get my ownself squared away the better, never having learned to do everything equally well at the same time :p

"I - I - I, me - me - me."

When did this place become a singing blog?
Maybe you should dial back the meds, darlin', you're just a bit *confusicated*.

No meds today :p

Besides, I thought you *liked* my singing?

Best wishes on recovery.
Skip the meds and go straight to a nice glass if wine. Or two . . .

CAPT,
Our Princess likes beer, too.
Just, yanno, fyi.
Why else do you think I hang around this joint?
heh

For some people, "I - I - I, me - me - me" is a good prescription, because they've learned to always place others before themselves, leading to low self-esteem. Or low bouncing.

Glad your recovery is doing well, that's Job One. We should probably be considerably lower in your task queue.

So you have a bad knee; why should we suffer?

Posted by: Tevye at May 30, 2014 02:10 AM

Take your time, Cass. Gert completely well!

Posted by: CAPT Mongo at May 30, 2014 09:02 AM

Actually you guys are still very high on my personal priorities queue - it's just that I have responsibilities to my family and co-workers that I'm having trouble juggling right now.

Everything seems to take twice as looooooooong to do, and I'm sleeping more than usual so there are fewer hours in the day.

/laughing at Tex :p

Personally, I think your #1 priority needs to be getting better. If you are not at 100%, how are you going to be able to help others to your full capacity? That's unfair to yourself. It's a hard task for me as well, you want to not let anyone down, but I promise, the best way to avoid letting them down is by getting better.

Our entertainment should not even scratch the priority list. And anyhow, we got Sly to dance for us in the meantime. ;)

Her knee recovery has slowed her because she's typing with her toes!

You don't owe us anything, Cass. Just get better. :)

"And anyhow, we got Sly to dance for us in the meantime. ;)"

I can handle that.

Typing with her toes, darn right. It's good physical therapy, and good for her public. Drop and gimme 20!

Posted by: Tevye at May 30, 2014 02:02 PM

"..and good for her public."

Missed the *l* there for a sec....

Well I, for one, think she's faking her so-called "injuries" just so she doesn't have to admit that, as usual, I was right. About everything. Again.
Can't say I blame her.

Ppppphhhhhhhttttttthhhhhh :)

Oh, and spd is always right. Especially when it comes to typing with one's toes.

Posted by: Cass at May 30, 2014 04:18 PM

Feel better, Cass.

Hi Sly,
If I ever get out your way, I'll bring some Pale Ale.
Best Regards,

CAPT,
Sounds great!
I'll grill the steaks.

Might have to take you up on that

Posted by: CAPT Mike at June 1, 2014 01:59 AM

I grill a wikked steak, and the view of the lake and mountains is gorgeous. You will have to excuse the dogs, though, none of them can control their licker.
