His sad cat diary was pretty funny too :)

Men with beards and hats are bad enough, but in my neighborhood there is the occasional nun on a bicycle.

When the boys were small, we had a beagle who was terrified of garbage bags. We'd be out on a walk and her tail would be in Classic Beagle Position (upright and jaunty)... until she espied a garbage bag lurking at the end of a driveway, patiently waiting for the chance to leap out onto the sidewalk and savage her family.

The ears would go back and a ferocious growl, followed by what I can only describe as Canine Tourette's syndrome (a fusillade of snarling and barking accomplished whilst sort of bouncing up and down as though each bark was physically lifting her into the air) ensued.

But nuns on bicycles sound equally terrifying. And probably deadly as well. It is good to be vigilant against such obvious threats to order and tranquility.

The protected never do quite seem to appreciate the labors of those who guard them.

Grew up in NW; no Nuns.

Be happy you did not grow up in Canada!!

You'd have Nunavit and like it.
