There's a female comedian out now (I forget her name, but I assume she's on SNL) who's got Hillary Clinton and Diane Sawyer absolutely down.

Maybe because I took so many years of foreign languages, or maybe because I have an ear for music, I have always found mimics/impressionists to be fascinating.

When I was a little girl, I had most of my Dad's Bill Cosby albums memorized - cadence, tone, the pauses where you could feel the laughter build up. Speaking a foreign language is a bit like being a different person for a short space - the outward mechanics and grammar actually affect the way you think.

I imagine that doing impressions must be something like this: a glimpse into someone else's world.

I'm not impressed by Shakspeare (he was lowbrow mass entertainment for his time and place, and freely borrowed from others).
Have a *low* opinion if robin Williams.
