Mein Gott im Himmel - WHO COULD HAVE PREDICTED....
President Barack Obama is calling tens of thousands of illegal-immigrant children languishing in temporary U.S. holding pens an 'urgent humanitarian situation,' but Republicans are pointing the finger of blame squarely at the White House.
Obama instituted an immigration policy that the GOP says enticed tens of thousands of Central American children to cross America's southern border illegally without any parents to guide them.
More than 33,000 have been picked up in Texas alone since October.
The U.S. border patrol says its forces are overwhelmed, and the courts are bracing for a flood of immigration cases from children held in temporary detention facilities designed to handle a fraction of the numbers. Sanitation problems are beginning to rear their ugly heads.
Obama rolled out a controversial Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program in 2012, allowing many illegal immigrants who came to the U.S. as minors to escape deportation for two years. The White House gave them another two-year window last week.
As a result, say some GOP leaders, America's system for handling illegal immigration has been strained to the breaking point and is attracting hundreds of new illegal-immigrant children every day.
...The Obama administration expects as many as 80,000 of these 'unaccompanied minors' to cross the border in 2014, according to the Christian Science Monitor.
That number is twelve times what it was in 2011, the year before Obama announced his deferred-action plan.
The administration now estimates the holding facilities where the youngsters are being held cost taxpayers $252 per child per day, far more than the cost of a hotel and more than the children could expect to earn in two weeks of hard work picking crops, work that many were slated to do.
Facing the question of whether to deport the minors or play a game of catch-and-release, the administration has set aside $2 million to pay for their lawyers.
If only there were a leader whose job it was to see that our laws are faithfully executed. Instead, we have a leader who is continually blindsided by the entirely predictable consequences of his reckless and foolish decisions.
Won't someone please step in and fix this urgent humanitarian crisis he created?

An "urgent humanitarian problem" created by His Nibs, Obama.
And the answer is to subsidize immigration lawyers to fight his own government.
Obama can't lose, because he is playing on both sides. Which is also reminiscent of his campaign for/against Al Qaeda. Can't lose, because he is for both sides.

If only there were a leader whose job it was to see that our laws are faithfully executed.
The brilliant arrangement of government bequeathed to us had contrived to make resources available that we might defend ourselves in a world – politics - prone to idiots, thieves, despots, and demolishers. Fearless leader - Ophilia - had long ago ceased to be the paramount problem.
De facto abrogation of the law indicts the checks and balances as having aided and abetted the malfeasance. Ophilia goes about wilding the Constitution and the opposition is either complicit or has taken up the role of onlooker.
I suspect those who make so great an investment in political opposition, aka the GOP, know intimately what it feels like to suffer battered woman syndrome. The devotees are repeatedly publicly disparaged, slapped, punched, kicked, and stabbed but remain faithful and loving. After all, the conservative party says such lovely things and who would doubt that means love.
I had thought once that Obama warranted some respect for fighting for what he believed in. But, in fact, he hadn’t fought – he just showed up and embraced the capitulation.
The opposition? They talk like Patton and vote like Quisling.

"The opposition? They talk like Patton and vote like Quisling."
"The opposition? They talk."

There is hardly an opposition party. There is the Big Government Party, and they take turns.
And what is this "Constitution" that you speak of? I believe it is more than a hundred years old and no one really cares or understands what it says anymore.
Whose turn is it next? And at this point, what difference does it make? Because we are just sitting here waiting to be told what to think and say and believe.

I liked it better the first way. "Talk like Patton and vote like Quisling" is a good line.

Except they don't talk like Patton, and they only vote "Present" or not at all. Other than that, I suppose....

Obviously they don’t all talk like Patton but some do. One takes heart on those occasions – ‘ bar FIGHT! But they all jelly up eventually, like Mulvaney.

The only one in Foggy Bottom that I know of that consistantly speaks like Patton is Cruz out of Texas and the "Mean Machine" is in full swing to Palinize him before he can even think the words, "Should I run..." Allen West was one until the Dem's redrew his district out from under him.
One in over how many? Not much to take in heart in at the moment.

What don't we get here? The next step is to grant all these "Children" the vote--you know, because they're oppressed or something. Guess which party they're bound to vote for?
The whole thing is entirely logical.
