Duettino Sul' Aria - Le Nozze Di Go Figure

♪ fortissimo

You say pretense and I say pretends
You say Boh-ner and I say Bay-ner
Pretense, pretends

As a young man, I attended dances sponsored by various church groups. As such, I am very familiar with how they wanted couples dancing to keep a certain distance from each other. Specifically, they used a particular phrase to remind us when we were too close.

With that in mind:

"Hey you two, leave room for Jesus!"

Obama's posture--the waiting all alone--reminds me of the Norman Rockwell painting Waiting at the Dance

"It's all gone--the House--the Senate--the press--my poll numbers--Flirting with the foxy Danish Prime Minister.....

Next thing you know, Michelle will demand to sit between US, too!

Obama's policies had just been roundly rejected. He recalled comedian Jack Benny--whenever he was insulted, he would touch his hand to his face, and exclaim--"WELL!"

Unlike Benny, Obama didn't get a laugh.

Both thinking: I wonder where he got that tie that matches his eyes?

Both thinking: I hope they serve the little cookies with the creme filling I like.

Both thinking: When he says "Hello", I wonder what her really means?

BOTH thinking: "You know, he's almost as dark as I am!"

Business suits are the most useless form of human attire. How appropriate, then, that they are very nearly a uniform among this crowd.

*Slow clap*

Absolute genius, sir!

Each man silently counted off the rows as the huge, hulking form in the green, grease-stained running suit strained its way rearwards, squeezing its fleshy mass through the cramped passageway amid a sun shower of food crumbs (Doritos?) and loudly panted sweaty apologies, and they knew that soon, very soon, there'd be no more rows left to count.

For obvious reasons, nobody ever loses when the government plays "Musical Chairs."

Center of focus: The Empty Chair.

"Where did you get those shoes?"

"Well, I too am very sorry, gentlemen, but whether you're on the left or on the right, there's simply no other way to resolve the issue. One of you is going to have to give up his seat to accommodate Ms. Kardashian's other butt cheek.

How can Obama just sit there nonchalantly after Boehner went all war on women and murdered that poor girl who was supposed to sit between them in the classic boy-girl-boy arrangement?

Posted by: Yu-Ain Gonnano at November 14, 2014 01:56 PM

0bama: Why is the empty chair closer to me?

Boehner: Why is the empty chair closer to him?

Empty Chair: No wonder no one wants to sit on me!

All this pic needs is some fat guy between them with a t-shirt that says "I'm with stupid"...with the arrow pointing both left and right.

Both: Button down collars, hmmm.

Obama: Pocket squares are out?

Boehner: Pocket squares are in?

Both thinking: If I were to wear Matt Taylor's shirt ... no.

The Founding Fathers might have reconsidered the whole "co-equal branches" of government thing had they ever had to wait behind Justice Scalia at the deli counter.
