Hump Day Music

As y'all know, from the frequency with which I use the genre, I like country music, and one of my favorite's is one of the more prolific of today's country music singer/songwriter's, Brad Paisley. He has a new cd out that, of course, the Dark Lord had to have immediately, and boy am I glad I did. Otherwise I would have had to wait to see whether or not this song would have made the cut for being released as a single:

The boy does know how to turn a phrase. He also has a way of using that talent to make a subtle, yet meaningful, point.

I hope you enjoyed my musical interlude.
Now, coffee break's over.
Back on your heads.

Parry, Parry...

Thrust, thrust.
Good!

“A few years ago, the terrorist organization Hamas, sent a gift to the President of Israel in an elaborate box with a note. After having the box checked for safety reasons, the President of Israel, Mr. Shimon Peres, opened the box and saw that the content was feces (aka, shit, merde).
He opened the note which said “For you and the proud people of Israel.”

Being a wise and experienced person, he decided to reciprocate, sending Hamas a very pretty package and a note. The leaders of Hamas were very surprised to receive the parcel and opened it very carefully suspecting that it might contain a bomb. But to their surprise they saw that it contained a tiny computer 'chip'. The chip was rechargeable with solar energy, had a 1800 Terabyte memory and could output a 3D hologram display, capable of functioning in any type of cellular phone, tablet or laptop. It was one of the world’s most advanced technologies. Invented and produced in Israel. The accompanying note to the Hamas leaders stated very courteously…
“Every leader gives the best his people can roduce.”

The Vigil

Presented without comment as anything I could say would be grossly insufficient.

Well done, young man.

If I Didn't Know Better...

I think the Blog Princess had finally gotten herself a new puppy.

CANTON, Mass., June 2 (UPI) --A peppy pup pushed the gas pedal in her owner's car and propelled his vehicle into a picturesque pond in Massachusetts. Rosie, a 12-week-old German shepherd puppy, had just gone for a walk around Bolivar Pond in Canton when the incident occurred.

After her owner started up the car, Rosie somehow got tangled up in the pedals and unknowingly floored it into the pond.

"She's a handful," Rosie's owner, John Costello told MyFoxBoston. "The dog jumped in and hit the gear shift and the car jerked and she fell on top of the gas pedal. It was just scary."

Sportsmanship and the Bigger Man

As y'all know, I have a problem with the lack of sportsmanship I see (or, don't see, as the case may be) in sports these days and have posted several vids and stories that highlight the instances of (what is nowadays) extraordinary sportsmanship that I find on the innertubes. How I wish I were posting these so often that you guys would beg me to stop. Sadly, however, that is not the case. Until the time when good sports are the norm again, here is a vid that I found over at the Black Sphere that displays the sportsmanship I was taught and still believe adds more to the game than any of the antics currently considered *fashionable*:

Well, done young man. And make no mistake, he is a Man in every sense of the word. His is a life laid at his feet, he has only to choose his direction. He will succeed.
